Creating an automation entity

Before setting up an automation, you must create it as an entity in Configuration desktop.

What you should know

Creating an automation entity is the first step in setting up an automation.

An automation entity is a repeatable process in Security Center SaaS. It consists of two parts: a trigger that defines what starts the automation, and a response that defines the actions that follow.

  2. Click Add an entity () and select Automation.
  3. On the Identity page, enter a name and description for the automation.
