About user provisioning

2026-07-07Last updated

User provisioning is the process of managing user accounts in your system using a corporate identity provider. By integrating your Security Center SaaS system with Microsoft Entra ID or Okta, you can automate this process to reduce ongoing support costs and force compliance with security policies.

In Security Center SaaS, automatic user provisioning uses System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) 2.0 protocols to optimize user onboarding and offboarding:
  • Users added to your Microsoft Entra ID or Okta user groups are automatically added to Security Center SaaS.
  • Users removed from Microsoft Entra ID or Okta are automatically removed from Security Center SaaS.

Requirements

Automatic user provisioning is only available for customers with a Security Center SaaS Premium Plan, and one of the following:
  • A Microsoft Entra ID instance with (at minimum) a P1 plan
  • An Okta license with either an Essential, Professional, or Enterprise plan

Limitations

  • Only one SCIM connection per Security Center SaaS system is supported.
  • Only direct-group user provisioning is supported. Group nesting, indirect user membership, or automatic provisioning for guests or external Entra ID or Okta users is not supported.
