Federating Security Center SaaS into Security Center

2026-03-27Last updated

To federate Security Center SaaS into an on-premises Security Center system, you must first generate connection credentials for a Federation user in Security Center SaaS.

What you should know

The Federation™ user controls what the Federation host can access on the federated system. When you generate connection credentials for the Federation user in Security Center SaaS, the Federation user is automatically granted the required privileges, including the Federation privilege.

You can generate connection credentials for up to five Federation users.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to Security Center SaaS.
  2. In the Configuration task, go to Global settingsIntegrationsFederation.
  3. Click Add.
  4. In New connection credentials, supply a username for the Federation user, and then click Save.
The connection credentials for the Federation user are created.
  5. (Optional) To generate a new password, click Generate new password, adjust the length if needed, and then click Generate.
  6. (Optional) To delete the connection credentials for a Federation user, select the Federation user, click More (), and then click Delete.

After you finish

Copy the following, which are required to establish the connection for a Federation user in Security Center:
  • Directory host
  • Username
  • Password
