  - About Front desk
    The Front desk task in Security Center SaaS provides reception and security staff with a unified workspace to manage site visitors. Operators can create and check in visitors, view scheduled visits, and monitor visitor status from a single interface. For planned visitors and walk-in visitors, security screening is available in the US market.
  - Setting your front desk location
    Before you can use the Front desk task to manage visitors, you must select your work location for the day. Your location determines which site and visitor management information you can see and which functions you can access.
  - Reviewing visitor activities
    For an overview of the visitors expected today or the coming week, you can review the Visitors list. Using this information, you can quickly understand the current visitor status for your site and upcoming visitor activities, including checked-in visitors, checked-out visitors, and visitors expected at a later time.
  - Viewing the visit events schedule
    To see what visit events are planned, you can view the visit events schedule. Using this information, you can see what visitors are expected today or in the coming week and prepare any access cards or other special requirements ahead of time.
  - Checking in a walk-in visitor
    To give an unplanned visitor access to visit your site, you can use the walk-in visitor check-in option.
  - Screening walk-in visitors
    To screen unplanned visitors to your site, you can use the walk-in visitor check-in option. During check-in, security screening is performed to identify potential matches and to deny access when a security screening match is confirmed.

Checking in a walk-in visitor

To give an unplanned visitor access to visit your site, you can use the walk-in visitor check-in option.

Before you begin

Set your Front desk location.
To check in a walk-in visitor using the Front desk task, you must be assigned the Front desk role.

What you should know

Security screening can also be applied during the check-in process for walk-in visitors. For more information, see Screening walk-in visitors.'

Procedure

In Security Center SaaS, open the Front desk task.
Click Walk-in visitor check-in and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the required information.

If prompted by your web browser during visitor check-in, follow the on-screen prompts to allow camera usage.

Note:
The picture taken during visitor check-in is only stored in our Azure cloud storage and is not sent to third parties.
At the picture-taking step, instruct your visitor to stand in front of the camera for a front-facing photo.
In the Confirm check-in section, review the information for accuracy and click Confirm check-in.

After you finish

If all other conditions have been met, you can issue a badge.
