Intrusion areas on a Bosch intrusion panel can be remotely triggered from Security
Center SaaS by configuring a virtual output point in Bosch Remote Programming Software (RPS) and
Genetec™ Configuration.
What you should know
When a virtual output is configured, users can trigger
intrusion panel workflows, such as activating horns and sirens, or contacting the authorities.
For more information about configuring a Point Source as an Output using Bosch
RPS, see your Bosch documentation.
Procedure
-
In the POINTS section of the Bosch RPS, create a new point and set the Point
Source to Output for each point on the panel that you want to use to trigger
an alarm.
-
Configure the profile and area for each point.
This enables the points to trigger alarms in their associated areas in Security Center
SaaS.
-
Configure Security Center SaaS to trigger alarms on
intrusion panels.
You can now use the Trigger intrusion
alarm command in the Intrusion detection area widget. This triggers
alarms in Genetec™ Operation for the configured areas.Note: If an alarm
is silenced from the panel, the associated area doesn’t enter a
Silent state in Security Center SaaS. The area displays a
Normal state.
