Combining events using AND or OR

2026-02-07Last updated

Each event-based automation trigger corresponds to one specific event. You can combine these events using either the AND or OR operator to form a trigger group.

Before you begin

Create your first automation trigger.

What you should know

All triggers within the same trigger group are combined using either the AND operator or the OR operator, which is the default.

Procedure

  1. Add a second trigger to your trigger group.
    1. Under the first trigger, click Add trigger ().
    2. Configure the second trigger in the same way as the first.
      Note:
To specify that the source of an event matches the source of the first event, set its source to Same as first.
  2. Add more triggers as necessary.
  3. To combine the events using the AND operator, click Any event at the top of the trigger group and select All events.
The labels in front of the second and subsequent events change from Or to And.
    Note:
When the AND operator is used, the occurrence criterion cannot be used. The order of occurrence of the events does not matter, as long as they all occur within the specified timeframe.
  4. Specify the timeframe during which any or all events defined in this trigger group must occur.
