Defining daily schedules

To define a set of time constraints for situations that occur daily, you can define daily schedules and then apply them to entities.

What you should know

Time ranges are shown as colored blocks on a time grid. Hover over a block to see its start time. Click and hold the left mouse button to open a pop-up window. Each block on the grid represents one minute.

Procedure

  1. Open the System task and click the Schedules view.
  2. Click Schedule (), type a name for the schedule, and press Enter.
  3. In the Identity tab, enter basic properties of the schedule, and then click Apply.
  4. Click the Properties tab.
  5. From the Date coverage list, select Daily.
  6. From the Time coverage list, select All day or Range.
  7. Using the time grid, set the time coverage as follows:
    • To select blocks of time, left-click your mouse.
    • To remove blocks of time, right-click your mouse.
    • To select or remove a successive block of time, click and drag your mouse.
    • To zoom in on the time grid and select or remove specific minutes, click and hold your left mouse button.
  8. Click Apply.

The following example shows a daily schedule from 6:00pm to 6:00am The time grid shows a 24-hour day in blocks of 30 minutes.
