Converting scheduled tasks to automations

You can convert legacy scheduled tasks to automations using the Automation task.

What you should know

  • Automations converted from scheduled tasks run with the privileges of the user who performs the conversion.
  • Scheduled tasks configured to run on startup become automations that run when the Automation Manager role starts.

Procedure

  1. Open the Automation task and click the Scheduled tasks tab.
  2. Select one or more scheduled tasks and click Convert to automation.
    You can select up to 100 scheduled tasks at a time.
  3. Click Convert, and then click Close.
  • The selected scheduled tasks are converted to automations.
    Note:
    Converted automations keep the names of the original scheduled tasks. If the tasks were deactivated before conversion, they remain deactivated as automations.
  • The original scheduled tasks are retained as deactivated backups to prevent duplicate actions.

After you finish

  • (Optional) Click the Advanced page of an automation and configure as required.
  • Test the created automations before permanently deleting the converted scheduled tasks.
