Setting up automatic user provisioning
To have your Microsoft Entra ID automatically provision your users to Security Center SaaS, you must prepare some information about your organizations Microsoft Entra ID setup and initiate a call with Genetec™ Technical Support.

You can check the overall status of the automatic user provisioning synchronization. You can also review the provisioning logs in Microsoft Azure to see more granular details about the automatic user provisioning synchronization activities.

  - About users
    Users represent individuals with access to the Security Center SaaS system. System administrators create user entities and configure their rights and privileges in Genetec™ Configuration.

    Before you can manage devices and users in Genetec™ Configuration, you must first add users in Security Center SaaS. Different roles can also be added to the users to grant different system privileges.

    A group is an entity that defines a group of users who share common properties and privileges.

      To integrate your corporate identity provider with Security Center SaaS for single sign-on (SSO), you must contact the Genetec™ Technical Assistance Center (GTAC). Genetec will then set up a call with you and your identity provider administrator to complete the integration.

      To have your Microsoft Entra ID automatically provision your users to Security Center SaaS, you must prepare some information about your organizations Microsoft Entra ID setup and initiate a call with Genetec™ Technical Support.

        To allocate the correct permissions that users require to perform their day-to-day tasks, you must assign roles to the groups imported from Microsoft Entra ID into Security Center SaaS.

        To make changes to the groups that are synchronized, you must modify your group synchronization settings from your Microsoft Entra ID management page.

Viewing automatic user provisioning synchronization status

You can check the overall status of the automatic user provisioning synchronization. You can also review the provisioning logs in Microsoft Azure to see more granular details about the automatic user provisioning synchronization activities.

Before you begin

Set up automatic user provisioning.

What you should know

Microsoft Entra ID imposes a 40-minute provisioning interval between synchronizations. Any modifications performed to your users and groups in Microsoft Entra ID might not be visible in Security Center SaaS immediately.

Procedure

To determine the next planned synchronization time, go to your Microsoft Entra ID Overview page, click Manage and select Enterprise applications.
Search for the enterprise application that was created during the setup call with Genetec.
Select the enterprise application from the list and click Provisioning.
Click Overview and expand View provisioning details.
The Completed field shows when the last synchronization occurred, and the Provisioning interval field shows the interval between synchronizations.
(Optional) Click View provisioning logs to see more granular information about your automatic provisioning synchronization activities.

Note:
If the log details are long, the Provisioning Logs page includes useful filters to manipulate the data for your needs.
