  - About users
    Users represent individuals with access to the Security Center SaaS system. System administrators create user entities and configure their rights and privileges in Genetec™ Configuration.
  - Adding users
    Before you can manage devices and users in Genetec™ Configuration, you must first add users in Security Center SaaS. Different roles can also be added to the users to grant different system privileges.
  - About groups
    A group is an entity that defines a group of users who share common properties and privileges.
  - Adding groups
    Set up groups in Security Center SaaS to have users automatically inherit privileges based on their group membership.
  - Changing your user password
    To enhance security, you can update your user password for Security Center SaaS.
  - Changing your multi-factor authentication settings
    To enhance security, you can enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) or modify your existing MFA settings for Security Center SaaS.

    - Configuring user access to archived video
      To restrict a user's access to archived video beyond a specific time period, you can configure the limit archive viewing setting in Genetec™ Configuration desktop.
    - Configuring video watermarking
      You can configure video watermarking for specific users and user groups. When enabled, all video requested by those users includes identifying text.
    - Setting a default map for users
      To display a specific map when a user opens the Maps task in Genetec™ Operation, you can set a default map in Genetec™ Configuration desktop.

Add your users or groups in Genetec Configuration.

What you should know

To override settings configured at the group level, you must turn on the Override option.

Procedure

From the homepage in Genetec Configuration desktop, click User management > Advanced .
From the entity browser, select a user.
