Adding automations to maps

To enable Security Center SaaS operators to manually trigger automations directly from maps, add automations as map objects.

What you should know

• A Security Center SaaS operator must have the Run automations privilege to trigger automations manually.
• Adding automations to maps is optional.

1. In Genetec™ Configuration, open the Map designer task.
2. Select a recent map or click Browse all maps to open an existing map.
3. In the Entities section of the vertical toolbar, click Automation.
4. Select the automation you want to add, and drag it to the desired position on the map.
5. (Optional) In the Identity widget, assign a custom icon to the automation.
   Tip:

   Choose an icon that matches the automation's specific purpose, so operators can quickly identify it on the map. Changing the icon here also changes the icon assigned to the automation on its Identity page, and vice versa.
6. Click Save.
