  - About sites
    In Genetec ClearID™, a site is a logical entity. Sites include one or more areas. Each site and area can have a different owner.
  - Creating sites
    Before you can configure your areas in Genetec ClearID™, you must create the sites that you want to associate your areas with.
    - Adding site owners
      In Genetec ClearID™, a site owner is an identity that has authority over areas associated with a specific site. Before you can assign or modify area owners, configure specific area settings that are exclusive to site owners, or manage site access reviews you must add your site owners.

      In Genetec ClearID™, Site owners can use visit profiles to configure different visitor management settings based on different visit needs within the same site.
    - Configuring visit profiles for sites
      Before users can invite visitors, a Site owner must add and configure visit profiles for your site.
    - Modifying visitor management settings for sites
      To determine how QR codes are shared with visitors and how Genetec ClearID™ manages visitor data, you must configure the visitor management settings for your site.
    - Viewing sites where a user can invite visitors
      An account administrator might need to view the list of sites where a user can invite visitors so that they can verify or update access if required.
  - Modifying sites
    After you add your sites, you can modify the settings of each site individually. An account administrator or site owner can modify the site owners, site properties, and change visitor management options for the site.
  - Setting a maximum duration for site access
    To enforce a limit for identities with temporary access, you can set a site access duration. When the maximum duration limit is reached, their access expires.

About visit profiles

In Genetec ClearID™, Site owners can use visit profiles to configure different visitor management settings based on different visit needs within the same site.

Visit profiles can contain up to two visit types:
- Planned
- Walk-in
Sites can contain unlimited planned visit profiles and up to 10 walk-in visit profiles.
Users can select a visit profile when creating a visit request to automatically fill in meetup and parking locations, areas the visitor needs to access, and more.
Note:
In cases where there is more than one configured location or area, visitors can choose from the available options.
