Threat level actions

2026-03-11Last updated

Actions in Security Center SaaS typically apply to a specific entity. However, actions configured for a threat level can apply to all entities within the hierarchy of the area where the threat level is set.

If you apply an action to a specific entity, the action applies to that entity whether or not it is in the area where the threat level is set.

Actions exclusive to threat levels

Note:
The following actions can only be executed as part of a threat level action list or as part of an automation response.
Action name Target entity Description
Set minimum security clearance Area (Location) This action sets the minimum security clearance level required for cardholders to enter the area, in addition to the restrictions imposed by access rules. If perimeter doors in the area were previously unlocked due to an unlock schedule, they enter the locked state. You must have the Set minimum security clearance privilege to configure this action.
Extra arguments:
Security clearance
Minimum level of security clearance required for cardholders to enter the selected area. Levels range from 0 to 7, where 0 is the highest level and 7 is the lowest (or indicates that no special clearance is required).
This action only works with door controllers that support the feature. The range of supported values might vary, depending on the access control hardware.
Note:
To apply this action to a federated area, the Federation™ user must also have the Set minimum security clearance privilege.
