Adding Hanwha direct-to-cloud cameras

To view, record, and upload video from Hanwha Vision direct-to-cloud (D2C) cameras to Cloud Storage, you must add your cameras in Security Center SaaS.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Using a web browser, connect to the camera and sign in.
  2. Click the Setup icon at the top of the camera screen.

  3. From the navigation bar on the left, click Basic > IP & Port .
  4. In the IP address section, do one of the following:
    • Enable DNS setting by DHCP.
    • Specify DNS servers manually.
    Enable DNS by DHCP or enter your own DNS servers.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. In the navigation bar, click Basic > Date & Time :
    1. Confirm the Time zone and Daylight saving time, then click Apply.
    2. In the System time setup section, select Synchronize with NTP server, specify the NTP server addresses, then click Apply.
  7. In the navigation bar, click Open platform > Open platform .
  8. Click (…) and select the Genetec Security Center SaaS Connector application, then click Install.
    Install the Genetec Security Center SaaS application.
  9. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
  10. Once the application is installed, click Go App.
    Go to the Genetec Security Center SaaS application.
    A new window opens and displays the following message: Waiting to be added in Genetec Security Center SaaS. It may take a few minutes for the message to appear.
  11. Copy the camera Serial number and User Secret.
    A message indicates that the camera is waiting to be added in Security Center SaaS.
    Note:
    The User Secret is called the Secret key in Security Center SaaS.
  12. Sign in to Security Center SaaS.
  13. From the Devices page in the Configuration task, click Add device.
  14. Follow the steps in the configuration wizard and click Close.
The camera is added to the device list and becomes available after a few minutes.
