Adding Axis direct-to-cloud intercoms
2026-08-20Last updated
To enable operators to place and receive calls from other users in Security Center SaaS and mobile using Axis direct-to-cloud (D2C) intercoms, you must add the intercom to your system.
Before you begin
- Gather the required information from the Axis Communications: Owner Authentication
Key document or the device's web interface:
- Device serial number
- Owner Authentication Key (OAK)
- Ensure that the device has internet connectivity and that it can reach the required endpoint domains.
- To use edge recording on your device, insert a supported SD card. For information about supported SD cards, see the Axis documentation.
What you should know
- Resets the device to its factory default settings. Any configuration changes made in the device's web interface before it was added are lost.
- Replaces any existing credentials for the device with new credentials that comply with strong password policies. You can view the credentials on the device's Overview page.
Procedure
After you finish
- Configure the intercom to receive calls.
- To change settings that aren’t available in the Configuration task, sign in to the device.
