Combining automation-triggering events using AND or OR

2026-09-15Last updated

To trigger an event-based automation when any or all specified events occur, create trigger groups using the AND or OR operator.

Before you begin

Create your first automation trigger.

What you should know

When you add a new trigger to a trigger group, the triggers are combined using the OR operator by default.

Procedure

  1. Add a second trigger to your trigger group.
    1. Under the first trigger, click Add trigger ().
    2. Configure the second trigger in the same way as the first.
To specify that the source of an event matches the source of the first event, set its source to Same as first.
  2. Add more triggers as necessary.
  3. To combine the events using the AND operator, click Any event at the top of the trigger group and select All events.
    Note:
When the AND operator is used, the occurrence criterion cannot be used. The order of occurrence of the events does not matter, as long as they all occur within the specified timeframe.
  4. Specify the timeframe during which any or all events defined in this trigger group must occur.
  5. Click Apply.

After you finish

Configure the automation response.
