Modifying intrusion areas, inputs, and outputs

If an intrusion area, input, or output needs to be modified, you can change its settings in Genetec™ Configuration desktop.

What you should know

For Honeywell Galaxy panels, modify the names of intrusion areas, inputs, and outputs on the Properties page of the entity. For other modifications, make the change in the Galaxy RSS application, then re-import the configuration file into Security Center SaaS.

Procedure

  1. In Genetec™ Configuration desktop, open the Intrusion detection task.
  2. In the entity browser, expand the Intrusion role and click an intrusion panel.
  3. To modify an intrusion detection area:
    1. Click the Intrusion detection areas tab.
    2. Click beside the area that you want to edit.
      The Edit area dialog box opens.
    3. Enter a name in the Name field.
    4. Select an output from the Output to trigger alarm list.
    5. Click Save.
  4. To modify an input:
    1. Click the Intrusion inputs tab.
    2. Click beside the area that you want to edit.
      The Edit input dialog box opens.
    3. Enter a name in the Name field.
    4. Select a contact type from the Contact type list.
    5. Select a resistor type from the EOL resistor scheme list.
    6. Click Save.
  5. To modify an output:
    1. Click the Intrusion outputs tab.
    2. Click beside the area that you want to edit.
      The Edit output dialog box opens.
    3. Enter a name in the Name field.
    4. Click Save.
  6. Click Apply.
