About camera read-only mode
In Security Center SaaS, camera read-only mode is an option for adding cameras managed by an external Video Management System (VMS). Using camera read-only mode, you can view video without affecting external camera configurations.
If a camera is managed by an external VMS, you can still add it to Security Center SaaS to view video from the camera.
In camera read-only mode:
- You can view live and recorded H.264 video.
- You can't change camera settings because they're managed by an external VMS.
- You can still configure the recording profile and enable camera analytics events.
This feature is only available when manually adding cameras and connecting them to a Cloudlink appliance. Only Axis and ONVIF Profile S cameras are supported.
Setting Read-only mode
Select Read-only mode in the Configuration wizard when adding a camera to Cloudlink manually.

Camera settings are displayed as "Not supported" in the camera side pane, indicating that they cannot be changed in Security Center SaaS.
Read-only mode can only be disabled by deleting the camera and adding it again without read-only mode.
