Enabling communication with Security Center SaaS using the B426 Ethernet module

2025-07-14Last updated

After you’ve configured your Bosch intrusion panel, you can enable communication with Security Center SaaS using a B426 Ethernet module.

Before you begin

Set the address switch on the Ethernet module, connect the Ethernet module to the panel, and then sign in to the module's web page. For more information, see your Bosch documentation.

What you should know

  • Using a B426 Ethernet module is optional.
  • The B426 Ethernet module requires Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2.
  • Bosch B series panels support Bosch's Mode 2 arming mode.
  • Important:
Connecting to the intrusion panel using an external B426 Ethernet module on Bosch B or Bosch B/G series panels might prevent the integration from functioning correctly. This is because the Bosch panel sometimes causes data overflow errors on the B426 module.
    Best Practice:
connect to the intrusion panel using an on-board Ethernet module that uses asynchronous communication.

Procedure

  1. On the Basic Network Settings page of the module's web page, do the following:
    1. Configure the IPv4 settings.
    2. Set the IPv6 option to No.
    3. Take note of the TCP/UDP Port Number. Specify this port number when you add the intrusion detection unit in Security Center SaaS.
The TCP/UDP port number must be different to the Bosch Remote Programming Software (RPS) port number.
    1. From the Legacy TCP Automation Enable drop-down, select Mode 2: No as the automation mode of operation you configured for the panel.
    2. Click OK.
  2. On the Encryption and Security Settings page, do the following:
    1. From the Encryption Enable drop-down, select No.
    2. From the Web and Automation Security drop-down, select Mode 2: Enable as the automation mode of operation you configured for the panel.
    3. Click OK.
  3. On the Maintenance page, do the following:
    1. From the Web Access Enable drop-down, select Yes.
      Important:
If the Web Access Enable option and the Panel Programming Enable option are both set to No, you’ll be locked out of the Ethernet module configuration.
    2. From the Panel Programming Enable option drop-down, select No.
Disabling the Panel Programming Enable option ensures that your custom settings on the Ethernet module are retained when you connect the panel to Security Center SaaS.
    3. Click OK.
  4. Click Save and Execute.
