You can create a custom settings configuration to manage camera-specific settings,
which removes any association with a recording profile.
What you should know
Custom settings are typically used when specific camera settings are needed that aren’t
available when using recording profiles associated with multiple camera deployments.
Performing this procedure activates a custom settings configuration and ensures that the
camera is no longer associated with a recording profile.
Procedure
From the Devices page in Genetec™ Configuration web, select a
camera.
Click the Settings tab in the side pane.
In the Video section, from the Recording
profile list, select Custom.
Note:
Cameras configured using the Custom
settings option aren’t displayed in the Recording
profiles list because the custom settings only apply to the selected
camera.
In the Video section, customize the settings as
required.
Resolution
From the Resolution list, select the option you
require.
Frame rate
From the Frame rate list, select the option you
require.
Maximum bit rate
Select a maximum bit rate.
Recording location
Select an option that is relevant to your device type:
D2C cameras
Camera edge recording or Cloud recording.
Cloudlink cameras
Appliance recording or Cloud recording.
Note:
The camera edge recording location is
available only for Axis direct-to-cloud cameras that support SD cards and have
firmware version 11.11 or later.
Video Retention
Select a retention period from the choices available or click
Custom to specify a retention period in days. The
maximum video retention period is 1,096 days (3 years).
(Optional) If image rotation is supported for your camera, in the
Image section, select an option from the Image
rotation list.
(Optional) In the Events and analytics section, deactivate
camera events.
(Optional) In the Privacy protection section, activate privacy
protection.
