Configuring custom camera settings

2025-04-02Last updated

To configure a direct-to-cloud camera without being associated with a specific cloud or edge recording profile, you can create a custom settings configuration.

What you should know

Custom settings are typically used when specific camera settings are needed that aren’t available when using recording profiles associated with multiple camera deployments. Performing this procedure activates a custom settings configuration and ensures that the camera is no longer associated with a recording profile.

Procedure

  1. From the Devices page in Genetec™ Configuration web, select a camera.
  2. Click the Settings tab in the side pane.
  3. In the Video section, from the Recording profile list, select Custom.
Note: Cameras configured using the Custom settings option aren’t displayed in the Recording profiles list because the custom settings only apply to the selected camera.
    1. In the Video section, customize the settings as required.
