Assigning a virtual output to an intrusion area

2026-07-24Last updated

To manually trigger an output on an intrusion area that is associated to a Bosch intrusion panel, you must assign the virtual output that triggers the alarm to the intrusion detection area.

Before you begin

What you should know

This task must be performed in the Genetec™ Configuration desktop application.

Procedure

  1. In the Genetec Configuration desktop application, open the Intrusion detection task.
  2. In the entity browser, select an intrusion panel, and then click the Intrusion detection areas tab.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Edit area dialog box, select an output from the Output to trigger alarm list.
  5. Click Save, and then click Apply.
Users can trigger the output in the Monitoring and Maps tasks.
Note:
If an alarm is silenced on the panel, the associated area enters a Normal state in Security Center SaaS, instead of a Silent state.
