To enable operators to monitor intrusion input states and trigger output actions directly from maps, add input pins and output relays to maps in Genetec™ Configuration.

Procedure

  1. In Configuration, open the Map designer task.
  2. Select an existing map or click Create to create a new map.
  3. In the Entities section, click I/Os.
  4. Click and drag an input or output entity to a location on the map.
A side panel opens on the right side of the task.
  5. Configure the entity's state and icon display:
    1. In the Identity section, click Show states, and select the colors to associate with each entity state.
    2. In the Position section, use the Width, Height, and Rotation fields to adjust the size and angle of the icon.
  6. If you are adding an input pin, configure the double-click action for the input:
    1. Click Configure an action.
    2. In the Double-click configuration dialog box, select a double-click action for the entity, then click OK.
  7. If you are adding an output relay, configure one or more output behaviors:
    1. In the Output behaviors section, click Add action ().
    2. Enter a name and select a behavior.
You can configure multiple output behaviors. When an operator clicks an output relay on the map, the available output behaviors appear in a menu bubble.
  8. Return to the Map designer task and click Save.
The input pins and output relays are added to a map and can be monitored and controlled by operators.
