Updating map objects imported from AutoCAD

If you update the AutoCAD file used to import map objects, you can resynchronize your map with the updated file without recreating the map.

1. Open the Map designer task and select the map that you want to update.
2. Click Map > Synchronize entities from AutoCAD .
3. Click Select file, select the AutoCAD file you want to import from, and click Open.
4. Click Next.
   The entities flagged for synchronization are listed.

   

5. Review the listed changes and expand groups to see the entities that will be modified, added, or removed. Clear any groups of changes that you do not want to synchronize.
6. (Optional) To change the list of entities you want to synchronize, click Import, Add (), or Remove ().
7. Click Synchronize. If prompted to confirm entity removals, click Yes.
