Camera field-of-view (FOV) properties define how a camera’s viewing area is represented on a map and provide information used for fixed-camera and PTZ calculations.
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Distance | Length of the field of view as it appears on the map. |
| Direction | Direction in which the camera is pointing. This setting is primarily useful for fixed cameras. |
| Width | Width of the field of view as it appears on the map. |
| Max. distance | Maximum distance that the camera can see. Used primarily for PTZ calculations. |
| Elevation | Height of the camera above ground level. |
| Color | Color used to display the field-of-view indicator on the map. |
Note:
For imported image maps, set the map scale or georeference the map so that
distance-based field-of-view calculations are meaningful.
