To store video locally on your Axis direct-to-cloud (D2C) camera, you can associate it to an edge recording profile.

Configuring edge recording on an Axis direct-to-cloud camera

To store video locally on your Axis direct-to-cloud (D2C) camera, you can associate it to an edge recording profile.

Before you begin

Edge recording is only available on specific camera models.For supported devices and firmware, see the Security Center SaaS Supported Device List.

What you should know

Only one SD card is used per device. If the device contains two SD cards, the system records to the SD card with the most available storage.

Important:

If the SD card is unavailable or fails, the recordings are not retained.

Procedure

In the Configuration task, click Devices, and select an Axis D2C camera.

Tip:
On large systems, use the filters on the Devices page to quickly find a device.
In the side pane, click Settings.
In the Video section, from the Recording profile list, select either the default Edge recording profile, or your own edge recording profile.
Click Save.

After you finish

Periodically review your edge storage usage in the Storage section of your camera's Overview tab.
