To address a change in camera configuration requirements, you can modify a recording
profile. For example, to change the profile name, video settings, or the video retention
period.
The recording location can’t be changed after a profile has been created.
Procedure
In the Genetec™ Configuration web sidebar, click System and
select a recording profile.
In the Properties tab, modify the recording profile settings as
required.
Change the name of the recording profile.
In the Video section, modify the
Resolution, Frame rate, or
Maximum bit rate settings.
In the Storage section, modify the Video
retention settings.
Note: If the video retention setting is modified to a value
lower than one or more of the associated cameras, a warning message is displayed as
follows: Recordings made before <date> <time> will be deleted to comply
with the new retention period.
Click Save.
The updated configuration is pushed to all associated cameras.
After you finish
(Optional) Delete any recording profiles that are no longer required.
Select a recording profile.
In the sidebar, click Show more () then click Delete.
Note: The delete function is only available when a recording profile no
longer has any associated cameras.
In the Delete dialog, click Delete recording
profile to confirm deletion.
