Configuring Honeywell Galaxy Dimension panels to communicate with Security Center SaaS

To enable communication between a Honeywell Galaxy Dimension panel and Security Center SaaS, configure the panel access over Ethernet using the Galaxy RSS application.

Before you begin

  • Download and install Honeywell Galaxy RSS.
  • Review the documentation related to your Honeywell Galaxy panel.
  • Make sure your intrusion panels are functioning properly and have an Ethernet module installed. If they aren't functioning as expected, consult your Honeywell documentation.
  • Find the panel’s IP address.

What you should know

Galaxy RSS programs, services, and maintains intrusion panels locally or remotely from a Windows desktop. For details not covered in this procedure, you can download the related user manual from https://buildings.honeywell.com/us/en/products/by-brand/honeywell-security/galaxy.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to Galaxy RSS and select your Honeywell Galaxy Dimension panel.
  2. Replace the default remote user code:
    1. From the navigation window, select System Users.
    2. On the General tab, in the Remote section, change the PIN.
    By default, the remote user code is named REMOTE, its PIN is 543210, and its user level is 3.8. The new PIN must be a unique four, five, or six-digit number.
  3. From the navigation window, select Ethernet.
  4. On the General tab, enter the following information:
    • IP address of the panel
    • Gateway IP address
    • Network mask
    • (Optional) Site name
    Note:
    Take note of the panel's IP address, as it is required when adding the panel to Security Center SaaS.
  5. In the SIA Control section, enter the IP address of the Genetec Cloudlink appliance that is connected the Galaxy panel.
  6. Click the Remote Access tab, and set the following:
    Times
    Set to Any time.
    Mode
    Set to Direct Access.
  7. Click the Reporting tab, and set the following:
    Format
    Set to SIA.
    Level
    Set to 4.
    Receiver
    Set to Single.
    Protocol
    Set to TCP.
    Account
    Enter the PIN for the remote servicing user. The default PIN is 543210.
    Primary IP address
    Enter the IP address of the Cloudlink appliance connected to the panel.
    Primary port number
    Enter the TCP port used to communicate with the extension. The default is 10002.
    Note:
    This value must be changed if there are multiple Honeywell intrusion panels connected to Security Center SaaS.
    Secondary port number
    Enter the same value as the primary port number. This field is optional.
    Note:
    Take note of the Primary Port Number. It is required to add the panel to Security Center SaaS.
  8. Click the Triggers tab, and do the following:
    1. From the Alarm Monitoring Trigger list, select all of the events listed.
    2. From the Alarm Reporting Trigger list, select all of the triggers listed.
  9. Click System Parameters > Parameters 4 , and set Omit Signal to All events.
  10. Click Group Mode, and select Enable Groups.
  11. Click Group Communications > Ethernet , and configure the following:
    Alarm Reporting Trigger
    Select all of the triggers.
    Alarm Monitoring Trigger
    Select all of the triggers.
    The account number, IP address, and port number display the values that you set earlier.

Repeat this procedure for each intrusion panel that you want to monitor in Security Center SaaS.
