Adding cameras to a Genetec Cloudlink appliance manually

If automatic discovery doesn’t work or isn’t available, you must add cameras to a Genetec Cloudlink™ appliance manually in Security Center SaaS.

Procedure

  1. From the Devices page in Genetec™ Configuration web, click Add device.
    The configuration wizard opens.
  2. On the Type page, click Camera.

    Note:
    Hardware types are greyed out if they are not included in your license or are currently unsupported.
  3. On the Method page, click Genetec Cloudlink.
  4. On the Activation page, click Add a local camera manually.
  5. On the Configuration page, enter the required information.
    Select a pre-existing recording profile or add a new one. For more information, see Adding recording profiles.

  6. Click Continue.
    The wizard's Summary page opens, displaying details of the enrolled camera.

After you finish

  • To configure basic camera settings, select the device and click the Settings tab in the side pane.
  • If you need to change any camera settings that aren’t available in Genetec Configuration, sign in to the device directly.
