Adding cameras to a Genetec Cloudlink appliance manually
2026-07-15Last updated
If automatic discovery doesn’t work or isn’t available, you must add cameras to a Genetec Cloudlink™ appliance manually in Security Center SaaS.
Before you begin
- Ensure that the Cloudlink appliance is online.
- Ensure that your camera is compatible with Security Center SaaS.
For supported devices and firmware, see the Security Center SaaS Supported Device List.
- Have the camera IP address, username, and password ready.
- Reset the camera to its factory default settings, unless it is managed by an external video management system (VMS) and is being added in read-only mode.
- For Bosch cameras, prepare to add your camera to Security Center SaaS.
What you should know
- Cameras must be on the same subnet as the associated Cloudlink appliance.
- For information about the maximum number of devices you can add, see Genetec Cloudlink appliance capabilities.
Procedure
After you finish
- To configure basic camera settings, select the device and click the Settings tab in the side pane.
- To change any camera settings that aren’t available in the
Configuration task, sign in to the device directly. After you
update your configuration, you must manually synchronize your camera. For more
information, see Keeping camera features up-to-date.Note:Credentials for cameras added to Cloudlink aren't available in Security Center SaaS.
