To enable operators to monitor and control output relays, you can add output relays to your maps in Genetec™ Configuration desktop.

Before you begin

Add an intrusion panel.

Procedure

  1. From the homepage in Genetec Configuration desktop, open the Map designer task.
  2. Select a recent map or click Browse all maps to open an existing map.
The selected map fills the Map designer workspace.
  3. In the Entities section, click I/Os.
    The I/Os panel opens.

  4. Click and drag an intrusion input to a location on the map.
  5. On the map, click the intrusion area.
A side panel opens on the right side of the task.
  6. Configure the input to change color based on its state:
    1. In the Identity section, click Show states.
    2. Select the colors to associate with each panel state.
  7. Configure the map icon of the intrusion area:
    1. In the Position section of the side panel, use the Width and Height fields to adjust the icon size.
    2. In the Rotation field, enter an angle to rotate the icon.
  8. Add an output behavior:
    1. In the Output behaviors section, click Add action ().
    2. Enter a name and select a behavior.
You can configure multiple output behaviors. When an operator clicks an output relay on the map, the available output behaviors appear in a menu bubble.

    2. In the Double-click configuration dialog box, apply a double-click action to the entity.
    3. Click OK.
