Adding input pins and output relays to maps

To enable operators to monitor and control input pins and output relays, you can add them to maps in Genetec™ Configuration desktop.
Procedure
- From the homepage in Genetec Configuration desktop, open the Map designer task.
- Select a recent map or click Browse all maps to open an existing map.
- In the Entities section, click I/Os.

Click and drag an input or output entity to a location on the map.
A side panel opens on the right side of the task.

Configure the entity's state and icon display:
- In the Identity section, click Show states, and select the colors to associate with each panel state.
- In the Position section, use the Width, Height, and Rotation fields to adjust the size and angle of the icon.

For input pins, configure the double-click action for the input:
- Click Configure an action.
- In the Double-click configuration dialog box, select a double-click action for the entity, then click OK.

For output relays, add a behavior:

In the Output behaviors section, click Add
action (
).
- Enter a name and select a behavior.
You can configure multiple output behaviors. When an operator clicks an output relay on the map, the available output behaviors appear in a menu bubble. -
In the Output behaviors section, click Add
action (
- Return to the Map designer task and click Save.
