To enable operators to monitor and control input pins and output relays, you can add them to maps in Genetec™ Configuration desktop.

Procedure

  1. From the homepage in Genetec Configuration desktop, open the Map designer task.
  2. Select a recent map or click Browse all maps to open an existing map.
  3. In the Entities section, click I/Os.
  4. Click and drag an input or output entity to a location on the map.
A side panel opens on the right side of the task.
  5. Configure the entity's state and icon display:
    1. In the Identity section, click Show states, and select the colors to associate with each panel state.
    2. In the Position section, use the Width, Height, and Rotation fields to adjust the size and angle of the icon.
  6. For input pins, configure the double-click action for the input:
    1. Click Configure an action.
    2. In the Double-click configuration dialog box, select a double-click action for the entity, then click OK.
  7. For output relays, add a behavior:
    1. In the Output behaviors section, click Add action ().
    2. Enter a name and select a behavior.
You can configure multiple output behaviors. When an operator clicks an output relay on the map, the available output behaviors appear in a menu bubble.
  8. Return to the Map designer task and click Save.
