To help operators easily visualize intrusion detection areas and monitor their state
changes, you can add intrusion detection areas to your maps as shapes.
Procedure
-
From the homepage in Genetec™ Configuration desktop, open the Map
designer task.
-
Select a recent map or click Browse all maps to open an existing
map.
-
In the Shapes section, click a shape, and draw the shape on the
map.
To draw a polygon:
- Click once to add an endpoint.
- Click the first endpoint to close the shape.
- Use Shift+click to add or remove a point between two points.
- Double-click a point to complete the shape without closing it.
-
From the side panel, click the Identity list and select the
intrusion area to link to the shape.
If you're only using the shape to mark a point of interest, you don’t need to assign
an entity. Unassigned map objects have no name.
-
(Optional) To make the shape a map link, click the Links list
and select a map.
